I work for production companies and independent filmmakers who care about the quality of their English captions or subtitles. As a professional copy editor, I edit—not just proofread—the timed text so that it's readable, with correct line breaks, timing, and formatting. My editing focuses on issues around translation, culture, and idiomatic usage, as well as proofreading and copy editing for correct spelling, grammar, style, clarity, and consistency. I edit using the conventions of Canadian, American, British and Australian English, as required. I've also written captions for Nickelodeon, Treehouse, Teletoon, and Nelvana in reality, serial, cartoon and animé programming.
